Overview
We are seeking an HGV Class 1 driver or a Class 2 Driver willing to take their Class 1 licence. The role will primarily involve day-time deliveries across the South West, with seasonal tramping work across the UK. It is a salaried position based on 39 hours per week, plus overtime. ADR qualification a bonus , training will be given if not.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1/Class 2 vehicles in accordance with all DVSA and company regulations.
- Deliver goods directly to customer’s locations in accordance with planned delivery manifest.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Accurately complete transport documentation and comply with drivers’ hours regulations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service when dealing with customers.
- Ensure loads are secured safely and transported in line with legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence.
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport regulations.
- Flexible approach to work, including occasional overnight tramping.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
