GPS are looking for an experienced Surveyor / Project Manager with a ‘can do’ attitude, to work on the ANPR survey workstream . In this role you will office based in Huddersfield and will be required to travel to construction, retail and hospitality sites throughout the UK up to 60% of the time and will require your own roadworthy car, insured for business use. Good knowledge of the construction industry such as health & safety and CDM regulations and electrical knowledge is essential. Knowledge of ANPR / CCTV systems is an advantage.
The role is full time (37.5 hours per week), office based with regular travel throughout the UK.
Job Description:
- We are looking for an experienced surveyor / Project Manager to join the team. The focus will be on our ANPR survey programme. We visit sites across the country to survey them for ANPR camera installation. This involves identifying appropriate power sources, mapping cable routes on plans and looking for optimum camera locations. Training is provided. ANPR/CCTV and/or electrical knowledge is an advantage.
- This role requires management of the survey process from start to finish, the planning, survey, and writing up of the survey.
- Excellent IT skills are required for this role as you will be using Excel, Word, email and web based systems daily.
- It requires communication across all levels of management, to develop and establish a brief for the project that clearly defines all objectives. It also requires communication with clients and end users.
- It is expected of this role to maintain records and work folders - ensuring all work is checked and appropriately approved for distribution.
Requirements of the Role:
- Experience in an similar role.
- ANPR/CCTV/electrical experience.
- Educated to degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in relevant subject.
- Full driving license and own car with ability to travel within the UK.
- CSCS card - white (or possess the qualifications to achieve).
- Excellent IT skills.
