We are looking to recruit an effective, resilient and highly motivated Practice Supervisor to join the East Early Help team to lead, supervise, and manage a diverse and dynamic team of Early Help Children & Family Workers in the Scarborough area .
About the service
North Yorkshire Children and Families Service has developed a highly effective Practice Model, and you will lead your team to continuously improve their practice in Signs of Safety, Systemic approaches and Family Finding/Seeing; you will be passionate about your own development, and you will participate in service-wide practice development activities as both a learner and a facilitator.
About the role
Working closely with Practice Supervisors in the Locality you will collaborate with colleagues across Children and Families Service to ensure that all teams are fully supported.
Building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with practitioners and managers across the service, you will be committed to strong partnerships with schools, police, health and community organisations.
You will have proven leadership and management skills, strong knowledge and experience of working with families using systemic and strengths-based relationship practice strategies, as well as the necessary skills/ability to effectively manage and develop performance outcomes to a high standard.
It is an exciting time in Children and Young Peoples Services in North Yorkshire as we plan our approach in respect of the Families First Partnership Programme and how we will be responding to the social care reforms. Work is underway to plan our approach and implementations for 2027. As a result of this, some realignment may happen with job roles in the future, we want to be transparent about this in respect of this role.
