Multitask Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company that produces high-quality headwear products. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Textile Operative to join the weaving department.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where full training is provided. The successful candidate will develop a range of skills across the production process, with opportunities to increase earnings as additional competencies are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Prepare yarn and materials to support production requirements.
- Carry out product inspections and quality checks at designated intervals.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels within the department.
- Complete training across multiple production processes and machinery.
- Follow production procedures and quality standards.
- Report any quality concerns or non-conformances through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and quality targets.
Skills and Experience
We're looking for individuals who:
- Have good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Enjoy learning new skills and developing their capabilities.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Are comfortable operating machinery following training.
- Can remain focused and accurate when carrying out routine tasks.
- Demonstrate a positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
Previous manufacturing or textile experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working HoursInitial Training Period
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
After Successful Completion of Training
Continental shift pattern: 3 shifts on / 3 shifts off
Rotating shifts:
- Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am
Please note that annual leave must be taken during the factory's scheduled shutdown periods.
Pay
- £12.71 per hour during training
- £14.53 per hour once fully trained
