Kitchen Cook – Part-Time / Full-Time
£14.50+ per hour, negotiable depending on experience and skill
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Cook to join our friendly, family-run village pub, which has an excellent local reputation and a great atmosphere.
This is a flexible role offering 24–42 hours per week, depending on holiday cover and business requirements.
The Role
You will assist with all aspects of kitchen operations, including:
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Stock rotation and monitoring stock levels
- Placing and managing food orders
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Working effectively as part of a small kitchen team
- Taking responsibility and remaining calm and organised during busy periods
You will have kitchen help and support, but you must be confident working independently and managing busy services when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a cook in a pub, restaurant or similar kitchen environment
- Relevant food hygiene and kitchen qualifications
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
- Reliable, hardworking and well organised
- Able to work well under pressure
- A positive attitude and good team-working skills
- Pride in producing quality food and maintaining high standards
