We are looking for a part time Receptionist/Administrator to cover some Summer absence at the Observatory Medical Practice. Could that person be you? This role is open to all but could well be attractive to someone looking for some work experience in the healthcare sector or a university student on summer leave. The role pays £13.16 an hour
This role will be for 10 weeks from the beginning of July with a little flexibility on dates.
You will work 2 full days a week. The actual days may vary from week to week though you will be told which ones well in advance your days. There is the potential for some overtime as well. The practice is open from 8 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday and some Saturday mornings. There will be a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Saturday mornings attract a higher pay rate of £18 per hour.
Benefits- annual leave entitlement is 5 weeks pro-rata and the successful candidate will be able to apply for a NHS pension.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Receptionist/Administrators have an interesting, rewarding and varied day, helping manage the liaison between patients and the clinical team. A usual day would involve:
· Greeting and booking in patients at the front desk.
· Handling telephone calls, and signposting patients where necessary.
· Dealing with emails, other incoming post (including scanning) and prescription requests.
· Providing administrative support to members of the primary health care team ensuring appropriate practice records are kept up to date.
· Any other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
Observatory Medical Practice is a long standing, well-respected GP practice, located in Jericho, which is a short walk from the main bus routes and the train station in the city centre (there is no parking currently available at the practice for this role). It is regularly voted by patients as one of the top practices in Oxford.
