Sherburn Village Pharmacy are looking for a friendly, hardworking and part-time Pharmacy Dispenser. We are a family owned independent pharmacy with a well staffed team who care about our patients and provide quality healthcare to the local community.
Overview:
Sherburn Village Pharmacy has close links to local GP surgeries. We are a small but busy pharmacy, dispensing 10,000+ items per month and offering a range of NHS and private services, which we encourage our staff to help deliver, alongside the Pharmacist Owner. We have a free delivery service and are located around a 10 minute drive from Durham City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be to assist with the efficient running of the dispensary including handling MDS and will also include counter assistant duties such as assisting patients with prescription and OTC medicines, stock control and assisting the rest of the team with cleaning and maintaining a professional environment.
Requirements:
Pharmacy experience is essential and applicants would ideally have completed an accredited NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) Dispensing Assistant qualification or be currently working towards this. Qualification evidence will need to be supplied at interview. Competence with Analyst PMR system would be ideal but not necessary.
If you have worked in Pharmacy before but not completed a qualification feel free to get in touch as we may have a trainee position in future as well.
The right candidate will be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organised and passionate about helping people. A can-do attitude and a desire to be involved in service delivery or pursuing future training would also be of interest and fully supported.
Working Pattern: 25.25 hours: Tuesday, Wednesday (8.45am-6pm) and Thursday (8.45am-5pm) with 30 minutes break. There are no weekends required.
Our opening hours are 8.45am to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 8.45am to 5pm on Thursdays. Please advise your ideal working pattern or hours alongside your application if the three days above do not suit. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience and qualification.
