Residential Site Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Residential Site Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the successful day-to-day management of residential construction projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations from start to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to a high standard and within budget. You will work closely with subcontractors, trades, suppliers, clients and the wider project team to ensure a smooth and efficient build process.
This is a hands-on role suited to an organised, proactive Site Manager who takes pride in delivering high-quality residential developments and maintaining excellent standards on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of residential construction sites.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor all site activities to ensure projects remain on programme.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades on site.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
- Monitor progress and identify potential delays or issues before they impact the programme.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, project managers and other stakeholders.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials and plant.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the build.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and maintained at all times.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, inspections and relevant documentation.
- Attend and lead site meetings where required.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure any defects or outstanding works are addressed promptly.
- Manage snagging and ensure properties are completed to the required standard prior to handover.
- Help manage project costs and minimise unnecessary waste and delays.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, programme and any issues arising.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and sequencing.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A good eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
- A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A professional and positive attitude.
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
