About the Role
Parkinson Signs is looking for an experienced and dependable Sign Installer to join our team.
As part of The Sign Makers Group, we produce and install high-quality signage that helps businesses strengthen their brands and create effective visual environments. In this hands-on role, you will install a wide range of internal and external signage across multiple locations, ensuring every installation is completed safely, accurately and professionally.
You will work closely with project managers, clients and other members of the installation team to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review technical drawings, specifications and installation instructions before starting work.
- Conduct pre-installation site checks to confirm measurements, access requirements and working conditions.
- Measure, mark and prepare surfaces using the appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install signs on walls, windows, ceilings, shopfronts and external structures.
- Secure signage using suitable brackets, anchors, fixings, adhesives and support systems.
- Ensure all signage is correctly positioned, level, stable and consistent with the approved design.
- Complete installations in accordance with company procedures, site rules and health and safety requirements.
- Use ladders, access equipment, hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly.
- Identify and report installation challenges, defects or variations to the project manager.
- Communicate professionally with clients and site contacts throughout each installation.
- Carry out final inspections to confirm that completed work is secure, accurate and finished to a high standard.
- Keep work areas clean and organised, removing tools, packaging and installation debris after completion.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience installing signage or working in a relevant construction, shopfitting or property-maintenance role.
- Good practical knowledge of signage installation methods, fixings and materials.
- Confidence using drills, levels, measuring equipment, ladders, access equipment and other installation tools.
- The ability to understand technical drawings, site plans and installation instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety, particularly when working at height.
- The physical fitness required to lift and position signage and work in a range of site conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible, reliable and solutions-focused approach.
- A valid driving licence and the ability to travel between customer sites.

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
