ABC Day Nursery is a busy and popular Day Nursery and we are looking to recruit a level 3 practitioner to cope with the increasing demand for places.
We are a privately run Nursery which is open from 7:30 until 6pm all year round and is fully booked for at least the next 12 months.
Job title & Description: Early Years Professional (EYP)
· Staff work 36 hours per week, 4 days per week as compressed hours, all year round
· We are looking for Level 3 qualified nursery practitioners
· ABC Day Nursery pays the UK National Living Wage £12.75 per hour (annual salary £23,868) reviewed in April 2026
Purpose of Post & Main Duties
- To be key in the provision of the quality of early years provision
- To ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care
- To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
- To reflect, review and manage change to keep abreast with policy, research and training
- To have the skill, creativity, commitment, energy and enthusiasm required for quality practice in the early years.
- To be accountable for the delivery of high-quality provision through an effective observation, assessment and planning process
- To work in partnership with families and parents/carers at home and in the setting
Responsible to: Room Leader and Nursery Manager
Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education is essential
Work Pattern
· Staff work under a compressed hours contract which means that staff work 8am until 6pm, 4 days per week with 1 set day off during the working week (Monday to Friday)
· All year round
