Job description
- A part-time solicitor is required to assist with a caseload of actions against the police, public law and civil liberties
- Legal aid supervisor status is required (public law & CAPA), either now or should be capable of being reached in the near future

The firm
- Brunskill is a boutique firm that practises in the heart of Spinningfields in central Manchester
- The firm has traditionally operated in the areas of crime, fraud, professional discipline, regulatory, coroner's inquests and public inquiries
- We have a new and developing practice involving civil liberties, claims against the police / public authorities, and judicial review
The role
- A qualified solicitor is required to work on the firm's cases and to act as the firm's legal aid supervisor
- The solicitor will also be required to supervise and manage other staff (subject to the level of the solicitor's own experience)
- Cases are high quality, high value and complex. Many have a significant media profile
- The position is part-time but there is scope for increased work (if wanted) as our caseload develops
