Are you energetic, caring, and passionate about working with children? We’re looking for Play Workers to help create a safe, exciting, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and thrive!
The Role:
As a Play Worker, you’ll support the day-to-day running of sessions, helping deliver fun activities while ensuring every child feels safe, included, and valued.
Pay & Hours:
£13.45 per hour
Term-time contract: Monday–Thursday, 15:15 – 18:00
School holidays: Option to work holiday club as overtime. Open from 08:00-18:00 with half-day and full-day shifts available.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting Play Leaders in delivering fun, engaging sessions
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times
- Helping set up and maintain play areas and equipment
- Contributing to activity planning and children’s development
- Keeping records (accidents, observations, etc.)
- Promoting an inclusive, diverse play environment
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Someone who enjoys working with children
- Reliable, caring, and proactive
- Willing to learn and attend training
Important: This role requires a DBS (police) check due to working with children. Your start date will be set once we have received 2 satisfactory references and your DBS certificate (paid for by us). Due to new Ofsted regulations, you cannot undertake any work with children prior to receiving your DBS certificate.
