Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our reputable homecare organisation working both with adults and children. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Care Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services within a compassionate and professional environment. The Deputy Care Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, overseeing care plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties
- Assist the Care Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the homecare services, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
- Oversee the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to service users’ individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Monitor service users’ wellbeing, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are upheld at all times.
- Lead staff training sessions on topics such as medication administration, dementia care, and person-centred approaches.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and CQC standards.
- Ensure service users are supported with daily activities and assist in organising engaging programmes that promote independence and quality of life.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate effective care provision.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of care services through audits, feedback collection, and implementing best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of care planning processes and regulatory requirements within the UK social care sector.
- Experience in medication administration and managing complex health needs such as Alzheimer’s disease.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a homecare setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are preferred; however, ongoing professional development will be supported for suitable candidates.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Pay: £34,420.00-£37,200.00 per year
