This is a pivotal leadership position and we are looking for a dedicated professional with a proven track record of managing complex operational programmes and maintaining strict compliance standards within the utilities sector.

Job Purpose:
Accountable to the Head of Power for the operational planning, coordination, and readiness of ICP projects, alongside the management of the Integrated Management System. This role involves the strategic oversight of quality, health, safety, and compliance across the business, including NERS and ISO standards. The objective is to ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Significant ICP, DNO or Utility Infrastructure Experience in Ops planning, programme management and resource coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the operational delivery programme across all ICP projects, leading weekly planning meetings and ensuring works are fully planned and operationally ready before mobilisation.

Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements, working closely with the Senior Delivery Manager to balance workloads.

Oversee street works permitting, ensuring permits and notices are secured before commencement to prevent delays.

Manage, mentor and support the professional development of the Programme Manager and planning function where applicable.

Maintain and manage the Integrated Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and NERS standards, alongside maintaining relevant competency, training and accreditation records.

Lead internal audits, coordinate external client and DNO audits, and monitor NCRs, CAPAs and corrective actions.

Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and CDM regulations.

Review RAMS, procedures and operational documentation, whilst undertaking site inspections, safety audits and supporting incident investigations.

Maintain NERS accreditation readiness and ensure adherence to DNO, IDNO and client specifications.

Provide technical, operational and compliance support to the delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, including delivering safety briefings and supporting competency assessments.

Work with the Commercial Manager to align operational plans with project budgets, assess the impact of programme changes and monitor operational, quality, safety and compliance KPIs.

Analyse performance trends to identify root causes, implement continuous improvement opportunities and produce regular management reports.

Attend internal, client and Local Authority planning and coordination meetings as required to represent JDT safety and compliance standards.

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum (dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience).
