Print Room Supervisor

ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. We are now looking for a Print Room Supervisor to lead our Print Room operation, ensuring labels and packaging materials are produced accurately, efficiently and in line with customer and legal requirements.
About the Role
This is a key supervisory role responsible for the day-to-day management of the Print Room. You will oversee label production, manage the label database, support compliance with customer specifications, and lead a small team to ensure production requirements are met. You'll work closely with Technical, Production and Quality teams to maintain high standards and minimise disruption to operations.
Shift- 4 on 4 off 6am- 6pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Print Room and supervise Print Room staff.
- Maintain label databases, product information systems and label templates.
- Ensure all labels are printed accurately and in line with customer specifications and legal requirements.
- Manage Print Room stock levels and ensure materials are available to support production.
- Prioritise workloads and oversee daily printing activities to meet operational demands.
- Monitor packaging wastage, investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain equipment registers and ensure printers and equipment are properly maintained.
- Manage staff rotas, training, SOPs, investigations and performance documentation.
- Support site audits and ensure compliance with company policies, food safety and health & safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement, team development and operational efficiency.
- Lead by example by demonstrating our company values in your day-to-day work.

What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in a Print Room, Quality Control or food production environment.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Good IT skills and confidence working with databases and production systems.
- Knowledge of fresh produce, food manufacturing or customer labelling requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive approach with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
