Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and strong communication to provide exceptional service to our clients. Duties
- Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated destinations within the scheduled timeframe
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, maintaining safety protocols at all times
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered
- Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the van, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills for route planning and time management
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality

Pay: £12.71-£24.04 per hour
