We're looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician to join our Housing Maintenance team, working directly across Hounslow Council's residential housing portfolio.

You'll be responsible for carrying out electrical repairs, testing, inspections, installations and planned works within occupied and void council properties, ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out responsive repairs, fault finding and electrical maintenance.
- Completing EICRs, testing, inspection and certification.
- Undertaking full and partial rewires, upgrades and new installations.
- Working on planned maintenance, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, void properties and major works programmes.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs efficiently.
- Completing all certification and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Providing a professional, customer-focused service while working in residents' homes.
- Working safely in line with current BS7671 regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382)
- Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- Experience working within domestic properties
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Desirable:
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience within Social Housing or Local Authority maintenance
- Experience carrying out EICRs
- Knowledge of NICEIC requirements
- Experience using PDA/mobile workforce systems
