Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician, is to carry out multi-skilled Maintenance task, you will also be responsible for conducting repairs, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to maintain our equipment and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise your mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Provide reactive support when required, including breakdown response, ensuring high standards and timely completion of works.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
- Repairing or replacing defective components.
- Performing scheduled maintenance on equipment such as motors or valves.
- Installing new machinery or equipment.
- Monitoring machinery operation to ensure that it's working properly.
- Weld components as needed and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Maintaining inventory levels of spare parts in case they're necessary for repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
- Comply with all Health & Safety requirements of the site at all times.
What we are looking for
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced/high pressured environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong ability to maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Prior experience in supervising maintenance activities is a plus.
- Proficient in welding techniques for equipment repairs.
- Ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Ensure adherence to safe system of work, PPE, permits, risk assessments etc.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work some weekends as required.
- Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Able and willing to work at height and in confined spaces.
