Drama & LAMDA Teachers- After-School & Lunchtime Clubs
The Drama Centre- Hackney, Redbridge & Waltham Forest is growing, and we’re looking for brilliant Drama and LAMDA teachers to join our team from September!
We work with primary schools across Hackney, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, delivering fun, engaging Drama, Public Speaking and LAMDA sessions that help children develop confidence, creativity and communication skills.
With lots of new clubs opening this September, we’re looking for warm, energetic and reliable practitioners who genuinely enjoy working with children.
The role
You’ll be leading weekly Drama, Public Speaking and/or LAMDA clubs in local schools.
Sessions mainly take place:
- Weekday lunchtimes
- Weekday afternoons, usually between approximately 3pm–5pm
- During school term time
There are opportunities to take on one club or multiple clubs depending on your location and availability, making the role ideal for actors and other creative practitioners looking for regular work alongside their professional career.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from:
- Drama teachers and facilitators
- Professional actors and theatre practitioners with experience working with children
- LAMDA teachers
- Performing arts teachers
- Practitioners with experience in public speaking, communication or performance
- Drama practitioners interested in training to deliver LAMDA sessions
Previous LAMDA teaching experience is a bonus, but it isn’t essential for all of our roles. If you’re an experienced drama practitioner and would like to develop your LAMDA teaching skills, please still get in touch.
More important to us is finding teachers who are enthusiastic, dependable and able to create a positive environment where children feel confident enough to have a go, be creative and express themselves.
What we provide
You’ll be part of a growing, supportive team and will receive:
- Regular weekly work during term time
- Lesson plans and teaching resources
- Training before starting
- Ongoing support throughout the term
- Opportunities to teach across multiple schools
- Opportunities to train and develop as a LAMDA teacher
- Potential for additional workshops and holiday work

- Have experience working with children
- Be confident managing a group independently
- Be reliable and able to commit to a regular weekly club
