Join our specialist complex‑care team as a Complex Care Healthcare Assistant, supporting a gentleman with clinical needs, including tracheostomy care and PEG feeding within his own home. This role offers stable day shifts and waking‑night duties, ensuring consistent, safe, and person‑centred care across all hours of the package.
You will be part of a dedicated service that prioritises dignity, independence, and high‑quality clinical practice, delivering care that genuinely transforms daily living for our client.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive personal care to individuals with complex health conditions, respecting their dignity and preferences.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and medication administration following care plans.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities and routines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Use IT systems to update and maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Drive between different locations for home care visits or appointments as required, ensuring timely and reliable service.
- Contribute to the development and review of personalized care plans to meet changing needs and goals.
Requirements
- Valid driving license with the ability to support the client into the community,
- Experience working in providing home care services is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of care.
