Role Overview
Support food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement throughout manufacturing operations.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of food production lines to verify adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor critical control points in accordance with HACCP principles to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Analyse product samples and production data to identify trends, deviations, or potential issues requiring corrective action.
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks, test results, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements that enhance product quality and safety.
- Assist in developing and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality assurance practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards, HACCP protocols, and best practices in food safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and their application in a production environment.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in food science, microbiology, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate protective equipment during inspections.
