Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cafe / Deli / Fresh Produce Supervisor to lead our vibrant food service team. Duties
- Supervise daily food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across all offerings
- Check the quality of existing and incoming fresh produce to maintain high standards
- Lead and motivate team members in serving customers with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper handling procedures
- Manage inventory levels of fresh produce, deli items, and other ingredients to minimize waste and optimise stock levels
- Support culinary innovation by assisting in product planning
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, deli, and produce areas to uphold hygiene standards
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a cafe, deli, or farm shop setting
- Barista experience essential
- Experience with fresh fruit and vegetables essential
- Knowledge of local cheeses advantageous
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to food service operations
- Previous experience with kitchen operations, including barista or serving roles, is essential
- Familiarity with culinary practices related to fresh produce handling and presentation
