Job Title – Class 1 HGV Driver
Rate of Pay - £15.25 per hour plus £10.00 per day meal allowance
Location – Mellor Brook, Lancashire

Monks are waste specialists - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry. We also have a high-pressure water drain jetting team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales.
Responsible to: Transport Supervisor
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for collecting waste / recyclable materials from our customers and delivering this to the requested sites. You will drive and operate a walking floor trailer using safe and efficient driving techniques in line with the customers’ requirements.
This role is a night out role and requires the candidate to be comfortable tramping from Monday – Friday.
Candidate Duties;
· Observing health and safety requirements
· be responsible for the safety of self and members of the public
· Geographical knowledge to ensure efficient and effective travelling
Candidate Requirements;
· Class 1 HGV Driving License
· Full CPC obtained
· Experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card
· Working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive
· Experience of walking floors
· Understanding of Health and Safety obligations
