********THIS IS A TRAMPING POSITION BASED IN HODDESDON MONDAY TO FRIDAY**********
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramping driver full time Monday to Friday position to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. The driver may sometimes be using a tail lift and pump truck. This role involves long-distance driving, often requiring overnight stays away from home, while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. We accept LTD.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Transport goods efficiently and safely to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Handle trailer loads with care, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record is essential.
- Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with curtain sided trailer
- Strong understanding of road regulations and health and safety standards in the transport industry.
