We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in a welcoming specialist school in Kingston upon Thames (KT1).
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference to their education and development.
The Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support.
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence and social skills.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Patient, caring and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and committed to supporting every child's individual needs.
- Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS) or is willing to obtain one before starting work.
