We are looking for a performing arts / sports teacher to join our successful growing team in the Oxford area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable teacher to lead fun, engaging afterschool sessions in both performing arts and sports, for primary school children. The role involves delivering a mix of dance, drama, singing or sports activities that help children build confidence, develop new skills and stay active.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high‑energy sessions in performing arts and a range of sports activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels supported.
- Encourage participation, teamwork and creativity.
- Set up and pack away equipment safely.
- Supervise children throughout sessions, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and the wider team.
- Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and SEND needs.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for working with children.
- Confidence in leading performing arts or sports activities (experience helpful but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A friendly, patient and energetic approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing.
- Experience of SEN is desirable.
You will be employed on a Freelance basis and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check (we can help with this if you do not have one) and the ability to travel to different venues across Oxford and Thame. Great rates of pay and flexible hours available.
We are looking for someone who has availability to work on a Tuesday and a Thursday in Thame and can start at the beginning of September.
This role would suit an existing freelancer looking to expand their teaching work.
