We're looking for a Proposition Development Manager to join our Proposition Development team on a six-month fixed term contract.
You'll help develop compelling funding opportunities that bring our ambitions to life and inspire support from a range of high-value audiences.
Working across priorities including Ending Unequal Access, conservation, heritage and inspiring people to care for nature, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to shape strategic propositions, develop persuasive cases for support and help build proposition development capability.

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.
What you'll be doing:You'll work with colleagues across the organisations to develop compelling funding propositions and cases for support that help secure investment in our strategic priorities. Working closely with fundraising, programme and finance teams, you'll bring together information, insights and evidence to create opportunities that connect supporter interests with meaningful impact.
You'll help shape how programmes are presented to a range of audiences, including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and wider fundraising audiences.
You'll facilitate conversations and workshops with colleagues from across the organisation, bringing together different perspectives and areas of expertise to develop strong funding opportunities. You'll be confident interpreting complexinformation and project budgets, turning them into clear, engaging narratives and well-costed propositions that demonstrate the difference supporters can make.
Alongside developing new propositions, you'll help strengthen proposition development across the organisation by sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues and supporting effective ways of working. You'll contribute to the continuous improvement of proposition development processes, helping ensure fundraisers have access to a strong portfolio of funding opportunities that align with organisational priorities and supporter interests.

- Experience facilitating discussions, workshops or collaborative activities that help shape ideas, priorities and solutions.
- Experience working with financial information and budgets to develop credible, costed proposals and recommendations.
- Experience leading inclusively, creating an environment where people feel valued, respected and able to contribute their best work.
