Job Summary
Lambert Community Space is an ordinary house with an extraordinary purpose: we are a space of welcome, community and connection for our local neighbourhood of Tarring, Worthing. We are looking for someone to partner with this vision and support with the underpinning administration of the project during this set up phase. We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Self Employed Administrator to manage administrative tasks independently. This role offers flexibility and requires a proactive individual capable of handling various administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and excellent organisational abilities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone pasisonate about community development or wanting to work in the charity / third sector.

Duties
- 1. MANAGING & HOSTING THE SPACE
- Managing bookings of the space for local community groups and organisations
- Hosting / unlocking for hirees
- Setting up systems for hire bookings
- ‘Front of house / hosting’ role when working at Lambert Community Space - engaging with local people and service users
- Ensuring the space is kept clean, tidy and organised
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained
- Maintaining stocks of basic supplies e.g. tea & coffee
2. SYSTEMS & COMMS
- Setting up and maintaining the Lambert Community Space diary
- Managing the info@ inbox and general inquiries
- Liaising with other local organizations
- Managing social media accounts and publicity, including creating flyers and other content
- Maintaining and developing systems for collecting and storing Service User records
3. NETWORKING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Mapping and networking with local community groups and organisations
- Seeking out and partnering with local opportunities for community engagement
- Ensuring Lambert Community Space becomes well known and well used locally
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate for the success of the post and the project.

Skills
- Experience developing and maintaining effective systems for filing, record-keeping, monitoring and evaluation;
- Experience maintaining diaries
- Experience engaging with members of the public
- Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal (including over the phone);
- Skills and ability in managing social media (eg, scheduling Facebook posts);
- Skills and ability with basic computer/ IT programmes (eg, Google drive, Doc, Sheets etc);
- Skills in creating basic publicity (eg, using Canva.com);
- Ability to work on own initiative;
- Ability to occasionally work at evenings and weekends;
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
