Would you like to be part of a fun, supportive team and work in a homely environment? We are looking for someone to join our nursery team.
The team at The Court House in Knowle are welcoming and friendly. The nursery is run by a family business who really care for the staff and the family atmosphere is apparent across the whole nursery.
Getting to The Court House is easy - it's on lots of bus routes and there is a safe place to leave bikes. You get a paid lunch break and uniform provided.
If you have a childcare qualification we would be delighted to hear from you, but if you are looking for an unqualified opportunity we can also support this and your training to start a childcare career.
All we ask is that you are committed to working (full time) with children, are positive, enthusiastic and reliable and live within easy commuting distance of the nursery - please do not reply if you do not live nearby.
THE ROLE
The role is full-time: 40 hours per week, year-round. The nurseries are open from 7.30am until 6pm and candidates must be available to work their shifts (usually 8 hours, including paid lunch break) during those times.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly team in our busy and thriving, but homely, nursery. You will work with the children as part of a team setting up an engaging environment; responding to the children’s needs; working with families as a Key Person and observing, assessing and supporting each child’s development “in the moment”. This is also an excellent opportunity for someone to start in childcare with the intention of gaining a qualification to start a career in this rewarding sector.
YOU WILL NEED
To live near The Court House and have the right to work in the UK.
To be able to work during the opening hours listed above - this is not a part time role.
A sense of fun and a love of working with children.
Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
To be hardworking and reliable and a positive team member.
The successful applicant will also actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring nursery policies and procedures are observed at all times.
