Job Details
- Location: Trafford Park, Greater Manchester
- Position: HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver
- Pay: £14.50–£16.25 per hour PAYE
- Overtime: £16.00–£18.00 per hour
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Shifts: Day shifts
- Weekend Work: Optional
- Work: Ongoing, full-time
- Temp-to-Perm: Opportunities available
- Payment: Weekly – every Friday
- Immediate starts available
The Role
You will be completing general haulage deliveries and collections across Trafford Park and the surrounding areas.
Depending on the client and assignment, work can include multi-drop or trunking, with goods often palletised and handled using a tail lift or forklift.
Your duties will include:
- Safely operating HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles
- Completing deliveries and collections
- Carrying out multi-drop or trunking work
- Delivering palletised goods to commercial sites and depots
- Using tail lifts and working with forklift-loaded goods where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Completing all required paperwork and documentation
- Providing professional customer service
- Following all road transport legislation and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally 2 years' Class 2 driving experience – exceptions may be considered for the right candidate
- Good knowledge of UK roads and transport regulations
- Strong work ethic and good timekeeping
- Positive and professional attitude
- Reliable and adaptable
- Willingness to work across different routes and client requirements
