At Stud Farm Contracting, we are farmers and agricultural contracting business working along side our sister company Farm & Country Fencing dedicated to delivering top-quality service to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled Agricultural Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of agricultural machinery and plant equipment, including tractors, telehandlers, lorries, trucks, balers, bale chasers, trailers and excavators amongst many other implements and machines.
- Perform scheduled inspections, pre-delivery checks, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Provide on-site and off site support for repairs and servicing when necessary.
- Fabricating and steel work welding repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
- Long hours in peak seasonal times but can be flexible with working hours.
- Can be Fast-paced, physically demanding work environment requiring reliability, efficiency and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Relevant mechanical qualification or significant hands-on experience in agricultural or plant mechanics.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical issues.
- Valid UK driving licence; experience in mobile mechanic roles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
