Elle’s Bakery is an independent bakery based in Medway, offering luxury brownies, blondies, tray-bakes and cookies. What grew from an idea and a ‘side hustle’ has now turned into a flourishing small business satisfying your sweet cravings! We focus on ensuring high quality, luxurious & well presented products. Everything is prepared & produced by our lovely team of bakers in our production unit, made with the highest quality ingredients available.
Schedule:
- Saturdays (8:30am-1:30pm)
- 5 hours per week
- Location - Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre (ME7 3PD)
- Sole-worker role.
- MUST BE OVER 18 FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
- Additional hours/shift available seasonally.

- Strong attention to details, especially setting up the displays, when serving customers and answering any question they may have.
- Flexibility to work around customers demands and seasonal holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast paced environment.
- We are looking for a candidate who exhibits flexibility, willingness and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Main roles and key tasks:
- Setting up stall displays and serving customers at our Hempstead Valley pop-up counter.
- Confidently and clearly communicate with customers and provide clear and concise allergen information.
- Managing all aspects of customer service and management of the stall set-up independently.
- Encouraging potential customers to try samples and purchase products.
- Handle cash and card payments efficiently.
- Restocking products throughout the duration of the day.
- Strong communication with other members of staff regarding stock levels and the best-selling items.
- Collaborating with other off-site team members and as an individual to keep the stalls/stands area clean and organised at all times.
- Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines/procedures are being adhered to at all times.
- Ensure all products are packed efficiently and labelled correctly.
Required Skills
- Customer service/retail experience required
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual (the majority of the shifts will be lone working)
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Follow and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Must have good maths skills
