Weekend Veterinary Surgeon
Permanent | Saturday and Sunday, 9am–6pm
Up to £70,000 FTE, depending on experience
Bramble & Bear Vets is looking for a confident and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our independent 24-hour hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.
This permanent daytime weekend position can be worked every weekend or on an alternating-weekend basis. It would suit a vet looking for a predictable schedule, an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to remain actively involved in varied clinical work.
The position
- Saturday and Sunday, 9am–6pm
- Every weekend or alternating weekends
- Permanent, part-time employment
- Salary up to £70,000 FTE, pro rata
- No sole charge
- No overnight or on-call requirement
- Supported by our wider hospital team
The role will include consultations, surgery and the ongoing assessment and treatment of hospitalised patients. As a 24-hour practice, we can provide genuine continuity of care, with patients remaining under the supervision of an on-site clinical team outside daytime hours.

We are a proudly independent veterinary hospital owned and led by our clinical team. Our practice provides first-opinion, emergency and inpatient care around the clock, with veterinary and nursing team members on site overnight.
We have a busy and varied caseload, excellent opportunities for case continuity and a collaborative working environment where clinical discussion and support are readily available.

- Is registered with the RCVS
- Is confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload
- Is comfortable performing surgery
- Enjoys contributing to the care of hospitalised patients
