Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-time Bartender to join our vibrant team to work a mix of Friday, Saturday and Sundays. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The candidate must be comfortable working alone and be able to work in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders efficiently
- Ensure all drinks are served promptly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to alcohol licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Engage with guests to foster a friendly and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or as a bartender is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple orders efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
