Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Legal Junior/Receptionist role based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, managing the reception area, and handling incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Daily tasks include greeting clients, managing appointments, directing queries to the appropriate legal professionals, and maintaining an organized front office. The Legal Junior/Receptionist will support the legal team with basic clerical and administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning documents, and updating client records. The role also requires providing consistent customer service, assisting with correspondence, and ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in an office or legal environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Receptionist Duties and Customer Service skills, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and providing a helpful, professional front-of-house experience.
- Candidates should possess excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, with the ability to handle calls, relay messages accurately, and interact clearly and respectfully with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in a legal environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and willingness to learn new systems.
- Previous reception or customer service experience is desirable but not essential. No legal experience or specific qualifications are required, as full training will be provided.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage competing tasks, and a professional demeanor suitable for a client-facing legal environment.
Pay: £25,500.00 per year
