Position Summary:
We are looking for a delivery driver & sales associate to join our team at Fitzgerald's Beds. This is a full-time role of 37 hours a week, based around our stores in Bourne, Stamford and Spalding area. Benefits include working 9am- 5pm/ 9am- 4pm throughout the week, including Sundays off and an extra set day-off during the week with the option to do occasional overtime.
We are looking for a confident and charismatic individual who can deliver exceptional customer service. Utilising strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will able to demonstrate the ability to rapidly build strong, working relationships with your customer base and be happy to support the business where needed. An applicant comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace would be a bonus.
Duties include but not limited to:
-Delivering to customers in the local area.
-Ensuring timeliness and customer satisfaction.
-Assembling furniture.
-Responsible for stocktakes.
-Loading and unloading cargo.
-Occasionally help out the sales team in store, with the opportunity for progression within the company.
-Vehicle maintenance
What will make you successful:
-A clean (preferred) full drivers licence for a minimum of three years is essential as the position involves driving a large Luton van on a regular basis. Knowledge of the local area is a bonus.
-The job can be physically demanding, so the ideal candidate would be able to lift and carry heavy items.
-A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service would be an advantage.
-Strong social and communicational skills are essential.
-Punctuality and excellent time management is crucial.
-Flexible and reliable, available to help the buisness where needed.
-This position is based at the Bourne store, therefore the right candidate should be able to commute/ relocate to the area.
-Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance reasons.
-Providing own transport to work/ being able to travel between stores when needed.
-Maintaining a positive and collaborative team culture as well as being able to work independently using your initiative is key.
-Hands on with maintenance
-Past retail/ sales experience is a bonus!
