Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to provide one week's holiday cover for one of our regular team members.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our client's premises, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This is a temporary role for one week, making it ideal for someone seeking short-term work or looking to gain experience with a professional cleaning company.
The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering a high standard of work, be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as full instructions will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across designated areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all assigned spaces, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal areas.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly after use.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand specific cleaning requirements or concerns.
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between sites.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
