The opportunity
ABS Talent is recruiting an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer on behalf of a well-established precision engineering client. This is a permanent, hands-on role for a skilled turner who can programme, set and operate CNC lathes to a high standard, producing precision components to tight tolerances.

The role
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines (Fanuc controls)
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances
- Working across twin-turret and twin-spindle lathes
- Selecting tooling and optimising machining processes for quality and efficiency
- In-process and final inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
About you
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer / Setter / Operator
- Confident programming on Fanuc controls (manual programming an advantage)
- Experience on twin-turret / twin-spindle lathes (Doosan or similar)
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused, reliable approach
- Time-served or relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ) welcomed
