We are seeking a reliable and attentive Traffic Marshall/Banksman with Blue CPCS to assist in maintaining safety and organisation on construction sites preferable someone with Steel experience.
Working hours 7:30am-5:30pm(10hours)
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, ensuring smooth operations, and adhering to health and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in construction environments and seeking a vital support position within a dynamic team.
Duties
- Direct and control vehicle movements on-site, ensuring safe passage for all personnel and machinery
- Assist with the safe parking and movement of lorries, vans, and other vehicles
- Communicate clearly with drivers, site personnel, and visitors to coordinate traffic flow effectively
- Maintain a visible presence at designated points to enforce safety protocols
- Monitor site access points to prevent unauthorised entry
- Assist with general site safety procedures as required
- Report any hazards or incidents promptly to site management
Skills
- Prior experience in construction or similar environments is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in busy environments
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good understanding of health and safety practices relevant to construction sites
