Master Doner is a growing UK supplier of premium doner, shawarma, breads, sauces and complementary food products to restaurants, takeaways, hotels, caterers and hospitality businesses across the United Kingdom.
As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, develop new commercial partnerships and strengthen our presence within the UK hospitality sector.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. You will play a key role in expanding our wholesale customer base and increasing sales across restaurants, hotel groups, catering companies, independent hospitality businesses and food service operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach and secure new business opportunities within the hospitality and food service sectors.
- Develop long-term relationships with restaurants, hotels, catering companies, wholesalers and hospitality groups throughout the UK.
- Generate new sales opportunities and convert prospects into long-term customers.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations and supply agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and long-term supply contracts.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Attend customer meetings, trade exhibitions and hospitality industry events.
- Work closely with production, logistics and customer service teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports and business development updates for senior management.
- Promote the company's expanding range of meat products, speciality breads, sauces and food service solutions to hospitality customers.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related discipline, or significant equivalent commercial experience.
- Minimum three years' experience in business development, commercial sales or account management.
- Proven experience developing B2B customer relationships.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and achieve commercial targets.
- Good analytical and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK for customer meetings.
Desirable
- Experience within the hospitality, food manufacturing, food wholesale or food distribution sectors.
- Existing network within the UK restaurant, hotel or catering industries.
- Knowledge of the UK food service market and hospitality supply chain.
- Experience using CRM systems and preparing sales reports.
