About the Role:
Liverpool is a city known for its energy, innovation, and strong business community, and at Mickel and Huffman Consulting Group, we bring that same forward thinking approach to business consulting. We help organizations improve processes, make better decisions, and turn complex business challenges into practical solutions.
We are looking for a Business Analyst who can work closely with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. You will play an important role in improving business processes, supporting technology initiatives, and helping our clients achieve measurable results.
You will not simply gather requirements. You will investigate how businesses operate, identify opportunities for improvement, analyze data, and help teams deliver solutions that create real business value.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment: Our Liverpool office provides a professional and collaborative environment where consultants, analysts, and project teams work closely together. We value open communication, practical thinking, and a strong team culture.
Client Impact: Your analysis will directly contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency, customer experiences, reporting, and business performance.
Modern Approach: We use modern collaboration, documentation, reporting, and business analysis tools to help our teams work efficiently and keep projects moving.
Professional Growth: You will have opportunities to develop your consulting, analytical, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis: Gather, document, and analyze business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process reviews, and existing documentation.
Process Improvement: Review current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary steps, and strengthen business processes.
Requirements Management: Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process documentation, and acceptance criteria.
Data Analysis: Analyze business information and performance data to identify trends, issues, opportunities, and insights that support better decision making.
Stakeholder Management: Work with clients, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and maintain alignment throughout projects.
Solution Support: Collaborate with project and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions address the original business objectives and requirements.
Documentation: Create and maintain process maps, business requirements documents, workflow diagrams, meeting notes, and other project documentation.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, consulting, operations analysis, or a related business environment.
Analytical Skills: You can examine complex information, identify the important details, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
Communication: You are comfortable speaking with clients and internal stakeholders and can explain complex business requirements in a clear and straightforward way.
Requirements Gathering: You have experience conducting stakeholder discussions, documenting requirements, and translating business needs into actionable specifications.
Tools: Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, business process mapping tools, and collaboration platforms. Familiarity with Power BI, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools is an advantage.
Mindset: You are practical, curious, organized, and comfortable asking the right questions. You understand that good analysis is not about producing unnecessary documentation; it is about helping teams make better decisions and deliver effective solutions.
Pay: £50,683.00-£65,000.00 per year
