PERMANENT ROLE – 5 FROM 7 NIGHTS – £28,554.24 PER ANNUM
Are you looking for a permanent drivers’ mate role which is for 5 days - Monday to Friday working out of Halfords Coventry with the potential for overtime then we have the job for you.

- 48 hours per week
- Shift Pattern - 5 from 7 Nights
- Start times between 17:00 - 19:00
- Overtime available
- 31 days holidays including bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as a 2-person delivery team delivering items to stores and accurate completion of delivery paperwork.
- Responsible for opening the stores, this includes unlocking the store, switching on the lights, and disarming the main alarm system and the alarm on the rear doors.
- Recording the seal numbers at each store on the paperwork, before the unloading starts, and when the unloading is complete.
- Removing the stock from the tail lift and into the store stockroom, placing it in the correct locations.
- Reloading all of the store returns onto the tail light, i.e., empty cages and totes, return stock, and cardboard.
- Ensure all stock is scanned and cross-referenced against the paperwork, counted correctly for the correct store and any discrepancies clearly marked on the store’s paperwork.
- Re-securing the stores, making sure that all bars and locks are in place, and all alarms are reset correctly.
Person Specification:
- Excellent Team player
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Need to be flexible in line with customers’ requirements.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
- Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines.
