We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver's to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting Chilled goods from a distribution centre.
There is two positions available Working shifts home everyday no nights out.
Position one is working early mornings starting at 03.00 leaving from Penrith travelling to Spalding then back to Penrith 9 - 10 hour shift
Position two is working days starting at 13.00 leaving from Penrith Delivering to Livingston and back to Penrith 7 - 8 hour shift.
No tramping and home everyday.
Working Tuesday to Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV Class 1 C + E license held for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points on your driving record.
- Valid Tachograph Card & CPC
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
