Access Control Installation Engineer

We're looking for an Access Control Installation Engineer to join our installation team. This is a field-based role covering sites across the UK, installing and maintaining access control systems in a variety of environments.
Whether you already have industry experience or are looking to build a career in access control & security systems, we will provide full training and ongoing support for the right candidate.
The Role:
As an Access Control Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining access control systems. You'll work on a range of projects, from new-build construction sites to upgrades in occupied public buildings.
Experience with structured cabling, cable termination, or access control systems is beneficial. Familiarity with XPlan access systems is an advantage but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Install structured cabling for access control systems.
Install and wire control panels, magnetic locks, exit buttons, break glass units, readers, and sensors.
Diagnose and rectify faults within access control cabling systems.
Install containment systems including trunking, PVC and steel conduit, cable tray, and basket.
Deliver a professional, courteous, and efficient service to clients.
Work safely and effectively on construction sites and in occupied buildings.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to pass a DBS check.
Competent using hand and power tools.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the South West & beyond.
Desirable Qualifications
The following are advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided:
ECS or CSCS Card.
IPAF.
PASMA.
Experience installing structured cabling.
Experience with access control systems or XPlan software.
