The successful candidate will open and establish the first store, setting the standards for product quality,
consistency, speed of service and customer experience. They will take a hands-on role in driving the
commercial performance of the site, with a clear focus on sales, labour control, cost management,
profitability and operational standards. As the business expands, they will coach and develop managers in
new stores to ensure these standards and commercial disciplines are maintained across the estate.
This is more than a conventional single-site management role; it is an opportunity to establish the first
store and help shape how future stores are led.

Once you have established a successful store and developed a strong Assistant Manager who can take
greater operational responsibility, you will play a key part in supporting the brand’s expansion.
In essence, what you create will become the operational blueprint for future stores. This creates a genuine
route towards a multi-site, training or operational leadership position.
Your responsibilities
Set up, open, and then manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
Recruit, coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
Train and develop a capable Assistant Manager who can confidently run the store in your
absence.
Own the store’s profit and loss performance.
Grow sales while controlling labour, food, stock, wastage, and operating costs.
Plan rotas around expected customer demand.
Maintain excellent food safety, quality, cleanliness, and brand standards.
Deliver fast service and efficient table turnover.
Engage customers, resolve complaints, build loyalty and encourage repeat business.
Use quieter periods for preparation, training, cleaning, and coaching.
Maintain clear communication, energy, and standards during demanding peak periods.
Supporting the expansion
Help recruit and select new Store Managers.
Coach and mentor managers before and after their appointments.
Support the opening of new restaurants.
Help new managers recruit, organise and develop their teams.
Share operating systems, standards, and best practice.
Identify performance issues early and provide practical support.
Help create a consistent leadership and customer experience across every location.
What you will bring
You will be a visible, hands-on leader who understands that successful quick-service restaurants require
commercial discipline, operational pace and excellent people management.
You will have:
General Manager or Openings Manager experience within a quick-service restaurant, fast-casual,
food-to-go, street-food or other high-volume, pace-led restaurant environment.
Strong leadership, coaching and team-development skills.
Experience managing budgets, P&L, labour costs, food margins and operational KPIs.
The ability to turn financial information into practical actions.
Experience recruiting, onboarding and developing team members and managers.
Confidence delegating responsibility to a strong Assistant Manager.
The ability to motivate employees during both busy and quieter services.
Sound judgement when managing underperformance.
A calm, positive and decisive approach under pressure.
The ambition and capability to progress into a multi-site or manager-coaching role.
Who will succeed?
This opportunity will suit an experienced Restaurant General Manager who wants to move beyond single site leadership, or someone currently in an Openings Manager role, who has previous General Manager
experience.
You should be able to demonstrate that you can:
Run a similar commercially successful restaurant.
Develop an Assistant Manager who is ready for greater responsibility.
Recognise and recruit strong management talent.
Coach and Mentor other Store Managers
Balance people, customer experience, operational standards and profit.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
