Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and fun early years practitioner to join us for a short term maternity cover post. At Acorn Day Nursery we love the outdoors and building meaningful relationships with our families, we spend time in our very own forest and exploring the farm right next door.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in early years, enjoy spending time outdoors and be able to engage children in creative ways to enhance learning opportunities. You must work well with others and be approachable.
Experience with ages 0-5 is essential, the successful candidate would work with all ages in our nursery.
Summary of details:
Must have a HNC Childhood Practice/SVQ3 or equivalent
Time in post: This post is from August 2026 to May 2027.
Hours: 28.5 to 38 hours per week across 5 days, dependant on need
Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour
Conditions: Must be qualified to SVQ3 or equivalent (HNC Childhood Practice), have experience in early years settings caring for children between 0-5, be able to register with the SSSC and complete a PVG check.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
