We’re hiring a Metering Field Technician, and you don’t need industry experience or formal qualifications to apply. If you’re reliable, enjoy speaking to people, and are happy working independently, we’ll provide full training to help you succeed.
This is a London-based role requiring regular travel across different boroughs and locations throughout the city.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out and about, meeting new people, and delivering excellent customer service every day. You’ll be working in the field, visiting customers and representing the business professionally, so confidence and a friendly approach are key.
Travel & Location:
This role involves travelling extensively across London using public transport and on foot. You must be comfortable navigating the city independently via the Underground, trains, buses, and walking between appointments. No company vehicle is provided because of the location of the role, so this role is best suited to someone who is confident using London’s transport network and happy to be on the move throughout the day.
What you’ll be doing:
- Visiting customers at their homes or businesses to carry out metering-related work (full training provided)
- Speaking with customers and explaining the work you’ll be completing
- Providing a friendly, professional customer experience
- Managing your own daily schedule and working independently
- Travelling across London between appointments using public transport and on foot
- Representing the company positively while in the field
This role is ideal for someone who:

- Can work independently and manage their own day
- Is reliable, organised, and takes pride in their work

You don’t need experience in the energy or utilities sector. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and how you engage with customers. If you’ve worked in customer service, retail, hospitality, delivery, or any role where you deal with people, your skills are highly transferable.
