Location: Coventry CV6
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Temp/Contract (6 months).
Salary: £35,000 per annum (Fixed-Term Contract with benefits) OR £25 per hour (Ltd Company Contractor)
We're looking for experienced Auto Electrical Technicians to join our Coventry vehicle integration team as we prepare for significant upcoming project demand.
This is a great opportunity to bring your automotive electrical expertise into a specialist defence environment, working hands-on with military vehicles and mission-critical electrical systems.
The initial contract is for 3 months, with potential extensions as project requirements develop. If you're looking for an opportunity to apply your skills to something more challenging than standard automotive work, this could be a great time to join NP Aerospace.

We’re offering two engagement routes, depending on how you want to work:
- £35,000 per annum on a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) with NP Aerospace – including full employee benefits (see below)
- £25 per hour if you join as a Ltd Company Contractor (outside IR35)
What you'll get in return

- £19 per hour
- 25 days' holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Discretionary half-year bonus scheme
- Two weeks' paid leave for Reservists and Cadets
- Life cover – 3x base salary
- BHSF Cash Healthcare Plan
- Potential for contract extension as project demand develops
Alternatively, for those looking to work through their own company:
- £25 per hour via Ltd Company – outside IR35
What you’ll be doing
You'll work as part of our specialist vehicle integration team, installing, modifying and testing electrical systems on low-volume, high-specification military vehicles.
You'll install and integrate MOTS/COTS electrical systems, manufacture and route looms and harnesses, modify electro-mechanical sub-systems and work from schematics, drawings and Bills of Materials. You'll also support prototype development, fault finding and testing alongside our Electrical Design and Engineering teams.
It's a hands-on role where your attention to detail and electrical expertise will directly contribute to the quality, reliability and performance of vehicles being delivered to defence customers.

We're looking for experienced, hands-on Auto Electrical Technicians who can confidently work with complex vehicle electrical systems.
You'll ideally have:
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Automotive Electrical Systems installation and repair
- Experience in low-volume, specialist or complex vehicle manufacturing
