Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Depot Manager to support the efficient operation of our logistics and warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of supply chain processes, and experience with warehouse management systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process optimisation, oversee shipping and receiving activities, and assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic environment. The Assistant Depot Manager will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties
- Assist the Depot Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and route planning.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely including receipting and storage of goods in
- Oversee the utilisation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all warehouse activities.
- Maintain accurate records related to shipping & receiving, inventory levels, and warehouse activities.
- Processing orders.
- Liaising with transport companies, suppliers, and clients.
- Liaising with internal customers to provide an excellent service.
- Training and supervising staff.
- Participating in regular stock takes.
- Responsible for maintaining the security of the site.
- Deputising in the absence of the Sales and Operations Manager
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
