Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a different approach to succeed?
As a Teaching Support Assistant within The Key – our new Not in Education, Employment of Training (NEET) prevention provision, you will play a vital role in supporting a diverse group of learners, many of whom face additional challenges that impact their education. This is a role where your personal qualities — empathy, patience, resilience and strong relationship-building skills — are just as important as your experience.
You may be an experienced Teaching Support Assistant looking for a fresh challenge, or a Teacher seeking a more focused, supportive role outside of leading a classroom. Either way, you’ll work closely with curriculum staff to provide tailored support, helping learners re-engage with education, through a variety of qualifications, and achieve meaningful progress.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven environment, where the focus is not only on academic success, but on transforming attitudes to learning and supporting every young person to reach their potential.
THE KEY
The Key houses a curriculum designed to re-engage young people most at risk of becoming NEET. It offers discrete provision, providing opportunities for up to 90 young people to access learning in an inclusive and supportive environment. The Key will support young people enrolled on mainstream study programmes, via short term intervention, that experience challenges in year that could prevent a successful outcome or who are at risk of becoming NEET. A central driver of the centre is to secure meaningful progression into further study or work.
